What Happens After You Order: Mid-Season Additions and Size Swaps
Rosters don't stay fixed for an entire season. A player joins after the team store's been open for weeks. A jersey gets left at a gym and never turns up again. A parent orders off the sizing chart and it still comes back not quite right. None of this means starting over — but what happens next depends on exactly what piece of gear is involved.
Stock Items vs. Custom Sublimated Items — Why the Answer Is Different
Some pieces of a uniform order are stock — plain items like pants, socks, or belts that aren't printed with anything specific to a player. If one of these comes in the wrong size, it gets swapped for the right one, straightforward, even when that means absorbing the cost of getting another stock size in.
Other pieces are custom sublimated — anything printed with a team logo, a player's number, or a name. These are made specifically for that one player and can't be reused for anyone else once they're personalized. If a family had a sizing kit or a size chart available in the team store and still ordered the wrong size, that piece has to be reordered — and paid for again — by the family. It's worth setting that expectation with parents before the store opens, so nobody's caught off guard by it later; a quick note when the store link goes out ("please double-check the size chart before ordering — sublimated pieces can't be exchanged") goes a long way.
Late Additions and Lost Jerseys
If a player joins the team after everyone else has already ordered, or a jersey gets lost partway through the season, that new order simply goes into production the same way the original team order did — no special process, no separate system. If it needs to move faster than a normal production timeline, a rush option is available for an added fee, and we'll tell the family exactly what that costs before anything is charged. The parent reaches out directly, and we handle it from there.
The Practical Takeaway for Coaches
The single best thing a coach can do to avoid this coming up at all is make sure every family actually uses the sizing chart or kit before ordering, rather than guessing. That one habit is the difference between an easy stock swap and a family having to place a second order for a piece that was already personalized.

A season changes shape — rosters grow, gear gets lost. The uniform order should be the easy part to fix, not the hard one.
