Fall Ball, Fall League, or Spring Season: When Lacrosse Programs Actually Need to Order

Unlike a lot of youth sports, lacrosse in North Florida doesn't run on just one calendar. Plenty of programs play a fall ball or fall league season — roughly September through November, alongside clubs like the ones that make up the area's fall league circuit — in addition to the traditional spring season that runs from January into April. That means two different ordering windows worth planning around, not one.

Fall Ball and Fall League: A Second Window Worth Planning For

Fall lacrosse tends to be lower-pressure than spring — more development and exposure-focused, often a shorter season — but it's still a real season with real games, and teams still show up wanting to look like a team. If your program runs a fall season alongside spring, that's a second uniform and gear conversation on its own timeline, not an afterthought tacked onto the spring order.

What a Lacrosse Program Needs Beyond the Jersey

Lacrosse carries one of the longer equipment lists in youth sports: helmets, shoulder and arm pads, gloves, and sticks for every player, plus goals and nets for the program itself. All of that is a bigger piece of a program's budget than the uniform alone, and it's easy for it to end up split across multiple vendors without anyone deciding that on purpose.

Why Lacrosse Gear Budgets Add Up Fast

Between protective equipment for every player and the goals and nets a program needs on top of that, lacrosse budgets climb quickly — often the second-largest equipment spend behind football among the sports we outfit. Sourcing both uniforms and equipment from one vendor keeps a growing program's budget and timeline in one place instead of several, which matters even more for a sport adding players and teams as fast as lacrosse currently is in this region.

Team Store or Bulk Order for a Lacrosse Program

Protective equipment and program-owned gear like goals typically go through a bulk order, since the organization needs everyone equipped regardless of individual family timelines. A team store handles the uniform and fan gear side well, letting families order and pay directly. Programs running both a fall and spring season often keep separate team stores for each, so sizing and rosters don't get mixed up between the two.
